Strategic thinking. Practical delivery.

Winfrastructure is the independent consulting practice of Simon Weber, providing senior-level support across infrastructure and real assets.

I work with management teams, investors and advisory firms where additional experience, capacity or an independent perspective can make a difference — whether shaping an important strategic decision or getting into the detail to deliver it.

My background spans debt and equity investment, transactions and asset management across renewable energy, transport, digital infrastructure and social infrastructure.

The approach is deliberately hands-on: from strategy through to execution.

What I do

Four connected areas of support.

Across transactions, project development, strategy, value creation and asset performance.

01

Capital & transactions

Support around financing and corporate transactions, from early-stage strategy and preparation through to execution.

This can include capital strategy, financial modelling and valuation, transaction materials, commercial analysis, due diligence coordination, process management and management support through a transaction.

02

Project development

Commercial, financial and strategic support to progress infrastructure projects from opportunity through development and towards investment readiness.

This can include development strategy, business-case and financial modelling, project structuring, grid and energy strategy, commercial arrangements, stakeholder coordination and management of specific development workstreams.

Particular focus on renewable energy and digital infrastructure, including data centres.

Strategy & value creation

Support for boards, management teams and shareholders on high-priority strategic and commercial questions.

This can include business planning, growth strategy, capital allocation, strategic partnerships, performance improvement, commercial analysis and the delivery of specific value-creation initiatives.

04

Asset management & performance

Hands-on support at portfolio, company or asset level to understand performance, identify priorities and deliver improvement.

This can include business planning and forecasting, performance analysis, management and board reporting, governance, financial and operational initiatives and special projects.

Flexible support where it is needed

Designed to complement, not duplicate.

01

For infrastructure businesses

Additional senior capacity for project development, transactions, financing processes, strategic projects and periods of significant change — without the need to build a permanent team around a temporary requirement.

02

For investors

Support across portfolio and asset management, transaction workstreams, strategic initiatives and complex analytical projects, bringing experience from both debt and equity investing.

03

For advisors

Specialist infrastructure capability that complements an existing advisory team. Winfrastructure can provide additional senior capacity, principal-side perspective and hands-on analytical or execution support for specific engagements or workstreams — working within the existing advisor and client structure.

Experience across infrastructure

Connecting the capital perspective with operational reality.

Experience spans direct investments, transaction advice and asset management across debt and equity, with exposure to businesses and assets at different stages of development, ownership and growth.

This breadth helps connect the capital perspective with the underlying commercial and operational reality of an infrastructure business.

Debt and equity investment and transaction support, project development, and asset management strategy and execution across four core sectors.

How I work

An approach built on direct delivery.

01

Senior from start to finish

Every Winfrastructure engagement is led and delivered directly by Simon. There is no hand-off to a junior team.

02

Flexible by design

Support can range from targeted input on a specific question to hands-on involvement in a transaction, project or longer-running workstream.

03

Alongside existing teams

Winfrastructure is designed to complement management teams, investors and their existing advisors — adding capability where it is useful rather than duplicating it.

04

Strategy through execution

The value is not only in identifying what should happen, but in helping turn that into analysis, decisions, materials, processes and tangible action.
